Saint Abigail is an Irish saint and is known for her use of herbal medicine to heal people,her skills as a beekeeper, and for protecting her village from the plague. There is a popular story of her chasing away a thief along with a swarm of bees. The thief was forced to return the cows he had stolen. Her religious order focused on caring for those with ailments.
